TCE 1 between the classes

Posted by Ashley Hoover

Between all the learning we had opportunities to put into practice the ministry. The center we held classes in is a ministry itself to children in the neighborhood so we got to help them after school when the children came to hang out. Here are some of the things we did.

Pool was the favorite break time activity among the TCE 1 students and there were many close games.

These guys are deep in discussion about the bumper pool game. They were really good at it!

A couple of the boys that came.

This is my little mexican buddy. He invited me to join their "mexican group" at school, I had to decline that one.

We had a devotional for the kids each day as well, here they are singing a song.

Games outside were a lot of fun. For Ultimate Frisbee someone suggested kids vs. teachers...being taller doesn't really help that much when you're outnumbered like 7 to 1. It was so much fun though.

A relay type game.

A Fooseball match. I never won any of those.

This guy is teaching me how to play Bumper Pool. The only catch...he got "unlimited redo's" and me? Well, "you only get one." Needless to say I never won any of those games either. ;)

I loved spending time with these kids. They all had so much going on in their lives it was nice to spend a few hours with them every day for a week. I pray God will use our time with them in a positive way and continue to use the people there at the center that minister to them so they will come to know Him as thier Savior.

Hi Ashley! I am really enjoying your blog....looks like things are going well for you! I love the photos...haven't seen any of you in quite some time.

God's blessings on your ministry,

Thanks Courtney, I haven't seen any of you in a really long time either! I'll have to fix that one of these days. I do love keeping up via your blog though too. Everyone is growing up so fast!
