Things I miss about the U.S.

Posted by Ashley Hoover

I love being here in Honduras and ministering to the children and youth but there are a few things as I live here longer that I miss about the States (listed in no particular order):

1. Street signs and easy navigation.
2. Dr. Pepper.
3. Outside recreation.
4. Runza & Valentino's pizza. (probably the only two fast food places that don't exist here)
5. Family and friends
6. Being able to watch TV online. (for all the four shows I like ;) It's nice for sports events too, like Husker football!!)
7. The sort of independence/freedom I took for granted to just go out and do things. One has to be more careful here, especially alone.

So this probably wouldn't be a good time to tell you that I went to Runza- even had Dr. Pepper- with friends yesterday.

We MISSED you though!!!! Wasn't the same without you.

Sis: :P

Can I agree with you in saying that I MISS MISS MISS Runza and Valentino's too???!! And I'm not even out of the U.S. We don't have either one of those down here and I love both of those places!

All those things are local only: Runza, Val's, Husker football, family...just sayin' ;)
Love you!!

Just goes to prove there is no place like Nebraska! :)

Guess what.

I had a limeade yesterday.

Cherry.

And spilled it.

I totally laughed.

But it wasn't the same without you!

I can't believe I missed it! But it's NOT my fault this time! :P (not that it was last time either)
